# Alō Index

> Alō Index is an independent hotel sustainability scoring platform built for corporate travel. Hotels submit a standardized assessment of their environmental, social, and governance practices; Alō scores and publishes the results so corporate travel buyers can evaluate sustainability as part of preferred-property sourcing and RFPs.

Alō Index exists to replace the patchwork of custom sustainability questionnaires that corporate travel programs send hotels, and to give hotels a single place to document, score, and share their practices. Scores are organized across twelve People / Planet / Policy categories including energy, waste, water, responsible sourcing, accessibility, and human rights.
